I've added a new collection to my website.  Now you can find Collection #1 (All About Birds) and a new Collection #2 (Flowers in Art) by clicking on the small image on the GalleryLAW page.  Each collection features 12 images which are a combination of paintings (oil, watercolor, pen & ink), printmaking, photography, fabric creations, etc.  Link: Lucy Autrey Wilson Art | Exploring My Creative Impulses

Albion Art

Four disparate new 7x10 pen & ink and watercolor paintings done in Albion, CA.  I was inspired to name the two "flowers in vases" paintings after socializing with friends.  The Snow Leopard painting was an attempt to incorporate text with a picture of a vanishing snow leopard, which had been featured on the cover of a magazine found in the house.  I did wonder who had worn the kid's antique cowboy boots when they were new, years ago.

Top to Bottom
1.  Three Old Friends (rose hips in vases)
2.  Dinner Party (flowers in vase)
3.  Snow Leopard FOCUS
4.  Kid's Cowboy Boots

Maui Vacation Paintings

Top:  "Maui Cardinals in a Lemon Tree" 7x10 watercolor, ink, pastel & marker.  I've seen two of these cardinals in Hawaii but not yet the brown-headed variety

Middle:  "Maui Ginger" 7x10 watercolor & ink.  These alpinia speciosa (non edible ginger plants) were tucked away behind the banana trees in Eva and Brian Daniells yard

Bottom:  "Impressions of Maui" 7x10 watercolor & pencil.  This abstract is based primarily on the incredible hike part way down the crater in Haleakala National Park
