New Artwork done in Portland

Top to Bottom:
Two drawings with colored pencil on 6x9 black paper
1.  Riley on my Lap
2.  Sunflower in Vase (a common theme)

Three pen & ink and watercolor paintings on 9x12
1.  Weightless - inspired by a 1955 untitled ink on paper work by Diebenkorn seen at the Portland Museum
2.  Wilson with his Watch:  Not a good likeness at all, except for the watch
3.  Clear Zone - not a happy painting, perhaps a premonition of bad health issues currently being managed

Mothers Day Family Art Project

Mother's day was celebrated a day early in Walnut Creek with some group art
Top:  Redo of 4 square drawing, done by three sisters and one (nearly) 97 year old mother
Middle:  Original 4 square drawing; done with each of 3 sisters having a square and the mother filling in wherever (blue person, pink accents, etc.)
Bottom:  Diptych (ie art done in two pieces, no hinge) joined together here, of a green-headed bird, perhaps in flames?  The result of 4 sisters working together in harmony.

Icons in Perspective

Recent 11" x 14" pen and ink perspective study.  The picture shows both spatial perspective and time perspective with pop culture icons (Mickey Mouse, Alfred E. Newman and C-3PO) depicted in 20 year increments (1930s, 1950s, 1970s)
